West Australian based resource exploration and mining services company
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Cue region of Western Australia is renowned for its rich gold endowment, hosting Westgold’s large-scale operations including the historic Great Fingal and Day Dawn mines. Orelian Resources’ tenements are strategically located just 11 km southwest of Cue, within the highly prospective Meekatharra Formation greenstone belt.
The tenements are dominated by a basaltic greenstone sequence intruded by a regional tonalite body. This contact zone, replicated elsewhere in the district, is a proven control on gold deposition. Reconnaissance has identified multiple quartz outcrops along these contacts, displaying iron staining, chlorite/biotite alteration, and sulphide minerals such as pyrite and pyrrhotite – all classic geochemical indicators of gold-bearing hydrothermal systems.
In addition, both areas are transected by regional shear and fault structures, providing secondary but compelling structural targets. Field sampling imagery demonstrates quartz veining with iron oxide halos and weathered sulphide textures, supporting the presence of hydrothermal alteration commonly associated with gold.
Historic exploration over these areas has otherwise been remarkably limited, leaving the ground effectively underexplored compared to surrounding areas where similar basalt-intrusive contacts have delivered major deposits. Geophysical surveys confirm strong magnetic contrasts along the tonalite-basalt boundary, further supporting the potential for concealed mineralisation.
With prime geological settings, visible alteration and sulphides, untested soil anomalies, and minimal historical drilling, represent a unique opportunity to unlock a pipeline of high-quality gold targets in a world-class district. These tenements offer investors direct leverage to discovery in one of Western Australia’s most productive gold provinces.
